art foundation student work
My art foundation teaching focuses on process, materials, tools, and critical thinking. Projects introduce art as visual communication, exploring form, material, and visual vocabulary. Cultural history of mark-making and visual communication provides reference, as students are encouraged to explore and develop passion and commitment for their own ideas. Curriculum progressively challenges students to use form and media to communicate narratives and ideas. Learning "how?" develops into an exploration of "what?" and "why?"
