My teaching is student-centered and based in dialog. Classes and projects emphasize exploration and process, challenging students to set goals, create original work, critique, and present professionally. My goal is to provide resources, skills, and opportunities to prepare all students for success. My current position is Campus Dean and Assoc. Professor of Graphic Design at the NYIT BFA/MFA program in Beijing, China. Previously, I taught graphic design in the United States for over 15 years. My teaching experience includes undergraduate and graduate graphic design, typography, design history, digital photo, professional communication, portfolio development, design management and direction, and art foundation.
