My teaching is based on dialog. Classes emphasize process; challenging students to explore, set goals, create original work, critique, and present professionally. My goal is to provide educational opportunities preparing all students for success. I am passionate about curriculum, and participate actively in education dialog and curriculum development. My current position is Campus Dean and Professor of Graphic Design at the New York Institute of Technology BFA/MFA program in Beijing, China. I previously taught graphic design at university and college programs in the United States for 20 years. My teaching experience includes all levels and areas of graphic design, typography, design history, digital photo, book arts, art foundation, academic and professional advising.
